Disobey Sign Traffic Ticket
A disobey sign traffic ticket has the following penalties.
- Two demerit points
- A fine of one hundred and ten dollars ($110.00)
- A conviction registered on your driving record for three years
- Possible insurance increases
A disobey sign ticket from the police means that a sign has been lawfully placed on the roadway indicating that some sort of movement is prohibited, e.g. do not enter, no turn, no turn between 7am and 9am.
Just because an “international sign” indicates something, does not mean that the sign is in fact enforceable. There is a clear set of guidelines in the “Ontario Regulations” that designate how signs are to be posted and what they can and cannot say that may be brought up in court during a trial.
