A G1 licence is the first of three (3) levels of drivers licence classes in Ontario. Class G1 Drivers have strict licensing conditions placed upon them and any violation has dramatic repercussions.
Ontario Class G1 Drivers who are found in contravention of the driving conditions are subject to the following penalties;
- Vehicle seizures by police
- Increased fines
- Drivers licence suspensions
- High insurance costs
Insurance companies factor in the G1 driving record, including traffic tickets, accidents, or suspensions, when calculating the fees for any auto insurance rates.
Any drivers licence suspension for a novice driver will dramatically affect the insurance rates. If the ticket has been paid and you have received a suspension notice, contact our offices to discuss an appeal >
