If your drivers licence has been suspended for an unpaid fine, you cannot get your licence back unless you have paid the fine in full to the court.
Once the fine has been paid, the Ministry of Transportation will take four (4) days to reinstate the drivers licence.
The driver may, where there is a large outstanding fee, enter into an agreement to make monthly payments until the fine is paid.
The courts and the Ministry of Transportation consider it the driver’s responsibility to ensure that any fine or ticket is paid and does not go into default, regardless of whether the driver was formally notified or not.
Payment plans for suspended licences can be arranged through the offices of OTT Legal.
